Tax Distribution by Tax Payer

*Each taxpayer will need to download the document and then use the "find" funciton of Adobe to locate their taxpayer ID or last name.

SEARCH FOR YOUR MOTOR VEHICLE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS ONLINE

Due to the Motor Vehicle software change, we are unable to regenerate financial statements. To print a financial statement free of charge, follow the instructions below.

 

  1. Go to Search for Vehicle Receipts on the State of Montana Motor Vehicle website.

  2. Enter either your Drivers License number or your vehicle information. Se;ect "Submit."

  3. A list of your vehicles will populate. Click on the vehicle you would like a financial statement for. Select "Start."

  4. Search by date (Jan.1/2025 to today). Select "Search."

  5. Click on Renew Registration >Get Financial Statement. The financial statement will populate.  Select "Print."

 

You will have to do this for each of your vehicles that you want a receipt for.

The Sheridan County Treasurer's office is the collection center for taxes including real estate, personal property and mobile homes. The office also collects various non-tax revenues including business licenses, motor vehicle and driver's licensing fees.
The treasurer makes disbursements of cash to cover bills paid by county warrant, bond payments or remittances to other government agencies for which the county collects monies.

The following payments may be made by Discover, Master Card and Visa:

  • Real estate taxes

  • Mobile home taxes

  • Personal property taxes

  • Motor vehicle license renewal fees

  • Driver’s license fees

  • County address book

  • County liquor license

  • County map

 

For a consumer fee, IntelliPay will charge your credit card and submit your payment to the county treasurer's office. Users are limited to paying the full amount due. To inquire about the fees, please call us at 406.765.3414, fax 406.765.3587, or e-mail.

Driver Licensing

Driver licensing is by appointment only! Appointments can be made online or by calling (406) 444-1772.

State of Montana Selected Drivers Examiners' Schedules:

  • Plentywood: 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Tuesdays, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, Courthouse Bicentennial Room 

  • Scobey: 2nd Tuesday, 9:30 am - 3:30 pm, Daniels County Courthouse
