Bridge Closure
Located approximately 3 miles west of Medicine Lake, the bridge on West Lake road crossing Big Muddy Creek will be closed until further notice. Originally scheduled to be replaced by Montana Department of Transportation in 2024, replacement has since been pushed back to 2027 by MT DOT.
Unfortunately, routine inspections performed by MT DOT have recently determined the bridge is unsafe and must be closed to traffic. Sheridan County is working to provide an alternative route until bridge replacement can be performed and will make further announcements as warranted. We apologize for any inconvenience.
